Yesterday we went snorkeling and saw some cool fish. We hung out on the beach and got sunburned too. We saw some sea turtles and Micah even got to touch one! We got a cool picture of the turtle as it same straight for Micah. We camped on the beach at a place called Olawalu. There were a lot of people there but it was really quiet. We drove back to Honolua Bay but the surf was pretty small so Micah didn't go in. We went to the only brewery on the island, Maui Brewing Company. The food was great and the beer was OK (says Micah, Jaime had a good virgin drink made by the bartender). We met some cool people at the brewpub. After the first couple of days on the trip, we have only been meeting really nice people. We met a couple in Hana that we keep running into. We went snorkeling with them and we camped at the same place as them. They are from one of the San Juan Islands. One guy we met at the brew pub was a displacee from huricane Katrina. Today we packed up camp and went to South Maui. We went to a nature preserve that is the last lava flow on Maui. We went snorkeling there and it was even more incredible than the day before. We saw even cooler fish and a sea turtle. The reef there was healthier looking and more diverse. Tonight we are staying with our friend Elizabeth and tomorrow we will fly over to Oahu.

Maui - Day 5
Yesterday we drove to the west end of the island along the north coast. This section of road is really narrow and winding. The scenery was beautiful and worth the drive. We drove along the ocean above the cliffs. The water is so amazingly blue. We found a really nice art gallery along the way. We stopped and swam in a rock pool on the coast. The surf crashes right up to the pool and spills in. The pool is probably 8 feet deep and full of tropical fish. It was like swimming in an aquarium. We found some really nice surf at Honolua Bay. There was a ton of people out surfing but there were enough waves for everyone. Micah caught a really nice wave! I watched from the cliffs above and could have gotten a really good picture but the camera battery died :(
We are staying in a really nice guest house called The Guesthouse in Lahina. It's away from the main part of town so it is quiet here. The house is beautiful, the rooms are awesome with a hot tub in the room (one where we can change the temp. so I can get in). The provide a yummy breakfast and full access to the kitchen, laundry, etc. It's a really sweet deal! We are debating staying another night. Today we'll go snorkeling and look for more waves tonight.

Maui - Day 4
Aloha from Maui! We've been in Maui for 4 days. It is beautiful here! We visited our friend Elizabeth the first day, drove the road to Hana on the second day. We camped at a black sand beach which was pretty sweet, then followed the road around the bottom of the island then up to the Volcano the next day. We camped at about 7000 feet last night in the national park. Today we picked up a surf board so we are now off to find Micah some surf and have some chill time on the beach. I'll update with some pics when we get home.

It's a Party!
We're planning a baby shower/BBQ
It will be at our house hosted by my friend Kira on September 19th at 4 p.m.
Invitations should be on their way. We hope you can make it. It won't be a traditional shower and we are inviting everyone, guys and girls. It should be fun and we'll have some good food too!
